I spread flowers to create an era where people and nature can more coexist.
Although we cannot live without plants, we pay too much attention to the conveniences and often lose interest in nature right in front of us or even forget that it exists.
True richness is about taking each other’s hands and coexisting with the earth, not about humans fighting each other.
In Japan, “継承” means to connect to the future.
As a floral artist, I want to “ 継承(Keisyo) ” this wonderful nature to future children.
Respecting nature and noticing the small miracles right before us will lead to a peaceful society, passing over conflicts and wars based on religion, race, and skin color.
Japan and the United States have many histories, including wars and atomic bombs. Embracing all of those pasts, I hope this work will convey to people the fundamental and symbolic idea that we are all part of nature and live on the same single planet.

私は、人と自然がもっと共存できる時代をつくるために、花を広めています。
私たちは植物なしでは生きていけませんが、便利なものにばかり目が行き、目の前の自然への関心が薄れたり、その存在すら忘れてしまうことが多々あります。
本当の豊かさとは、人間同士が争うことではなく、互いに手を取り合い、地球と共存していくことです。
日本語で「継承」は未来につなげるという意味です。
私はフラワーアーティストとして、この素晴らしい自然を未来の子どもたちに「継承」していきたいと思っています。
自然を敬い、目の前にある小さな奇跡に気付くことが、宗教や人種、肌の色による紛争や戦争を乗り越え、平和な社会を実現することにつながると信じています。
日本とアメリカには、戦争や原爆など多くの歴史があります。その過去をすべて受け入れた上で、私たちは自然の一部であり、同じ一つの地球に住んでいるという根本的かつ象徴的な考えを、この作品が人々に伝えてくれることを願っています。
